Global Heartcare Foundation launches The Pediatric Heart Program Initiative (PHPI) in Ethiopia

The Pediatric Heart Program Initiative launched by the Global Heartcare Foundation, in collaboration with the Children’s Heart Fund of Ethiopia (CHFE), is a significant step towards improving pediatric cardiac care in Ethiopia. This initiative with its focus enhancing training of healthcare professionals, aims to address the pressing need for congenital and rheumatic heart disease services affecting thousands of children annually.

By partnering with university hospitals in key Ethiopian regional states, PHPI is set to not only advance pediatric heart care locally but also to establish a model that can be replicated across other African countries. Through these efforts, PHPI seeks to make a long-lasting impact on the lives of children with heart disease, ultimately improving their health outcomes and establishing a framework for continued development and care in the region.
